Soc Day 38 - Essay Peer Review & Children's Movies

Objective:  Explore the role of various institutions in socialization.  Read and provide feedback on the essay of one of your peers.

Task:  To begin our last Monday together, you'll share your essay with one of your peers.  He or she will read the essay and provide constructive criticism.  Then, we'll continue our discussion on socialization and consider the messages in select children's films.  Finally, you'll use the remainder of class to work on your children's book.

• TODAY - Reflective essay due
• Tuesday, March 25 - Discussion on "Savage Inequalities"
• Wednesday, March 26 - Discussion on "Socialization and the Power of Advertising"
• Friday, March 28 - Children's book presentations
• Friday, March 28 - Revised reflective essay due by 11:00 am
