Objective: Identify and label countries, cities, bodies of water, and major geographic features of Europe. Examine how Europe's chronology contributed to the development of different cultures and political evolution throughout history.
Task: We will begin class discussing the reading you did for homework, "Prelude to the Modern World." Next, we'll take some notes on the character, shared heritage, and geographic features of Europe. Then, you'll work in pairs on part I of the "Heritage of Europe Activity: Learning History through Maps." Finally, we'll spend the end of class working on FCGP.
