Objective: Examine the geography, climate, natural resources, and early history of North Africa, Southwest and Central Asia.
Task: We will begin class by getting in a circle to review Chronology and Connections Packet. We will discuss the answers to the connections section in Part II and review a synthesized document with the major events in Middle Eastern History in chronological order (On Moodle). For the remainder of class you will be working on a stations activity exploring the climate and characteristics, water, ancient civilizations, and oil reserves in North Africa and Southwest/Central Asia using the computers and links to be found on Moodle.
Stations Directions:
1. Read through the questions that apply to your station.
2. Divide up the provided sources and work together to answer the questions
3. Appoint one group member to post and audio comment on the MIddle East voice thread
4. Review entire voice thread to ensure understanding. Post a reflection on the class blog reflecting on the influence of geography on the politics, economy and the spread of culture in the Middle East.
