Objective: Examine the effect of geography, resources, and early history of Southwest/Central Asia and North Africa. Identify the elements of culture as illustrated in the Middle East current events.
Task: To begin class, we'll examine the current event articles you brought in relating to North Africa & Southwest/Central Asia. You'll be asked to identify the seven elements of culture as illustrated in this article. Then, we'll break into seven groups and compile the different examples of the elements of culture from the articles. Next, you'll work in groups to diagram different sections of Chapter 21 using the provided guided reading resources. At the end of class I will have students outline North Africa.
