Objective:  Investigate culture and contemporary issues facing the Roma in Europe.  Examine the 

Task:  You will be reading an article about the Crimean peninsula and the tense history of Ukraine and Russia. Next, you'll use a map and the article to answer seven questions with a partner. During the second half of class you'll work independently on a crossword puzzle to review major concepts and vocabulary for the midterm. You may use your notes, handouts, textbook, and readings to complete the crossword review.
