Objective: Examine and identify the main events of the French Revolution. Make connections between enlightenment ideals and the Revolution. Define the role of divine right of Kings and Absolute power.
Task: To begin class, we'll examine Divine Right of Kings as a document of the age of Absolutism. Then, you'll complete a DBQ on "Absolutism and Democracy." Next, we'll examine the French Revolution using a video. During the video, you will take notes on the main ideas of the revolution on a timeline. Finally, we'll discuss and answer the guided viewing comprehension questions. With any remaining time you will be able to work on your assignment due tomorrow.
