Objective: Assess knowledge and understanding of Europe readings. Identify key people in the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment. Discuss the influence of humanism and secularism in the Renaissance, Reformation, and the Enlightenment.
Task: Happy Monday! As you come into class, please clear your desks in preparation for the reading quiz. When you finish the quiz, pick up The Reformation and the Scientific Revolution reading. After everyone's finished the reading, you'll break up into groups and examine important thinkers from the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment. For each thinker, you'll use a handout and the PowerPoint on the Moodle. To conclude the activity, you'll complete the handout as each group briefly presents on their thinker. Finally, we'll review the reading comprehension questions.
