Objective: Identify and label countries, cities, bodies of water, and major geographic features of Europe. Examine how Europe's chronology contributed to the development of different cultures and political evolution throughout history.
Task: We will begin class by labeling and coloring our map of Western Europe. Once we've finished with the map, we'll spend a few minutes taking notes on the Greco-Roman and Judeo-Christian heritage of Europe, the influence of geography on culture in the region, and how political borders of Europe have influenced cultural exchanges. You will look further into this idea in your Heritage of Europe discovery activity.
