HWC10.11 Day 36 - NetGenEd Contributions & Heritage of Europe

Objective:  Evaluate the social, cultural, and political changes that contributed to the rise of modern Europe.

Task:  As you come into class, please pick up the hand-outs on the computer cart and your computer.
  1. Please spend the first 15 minutes of class working on the NetGenEd wiki.  Use this time to post your resources to the NetGenEd Diigo group following the tagging standards.  ALL posts to the Diigo group MUST be annotated.  You should also check in and post on your discussion thread. If you are making edits to the wiki (directions at http://around-the-world-in-80-blocks.blogspot.com/2013/03/hwc1011-day-35b-netgened-wiki.html), be sure to "Save With Comment" AND explain your edit in the discussion thread. This is also a good time to read through the rubric (distributed Friday) to make sure that you are meeting requirements for the project.
  2. Use the remainder of class to complete the "Heritage of Europe" activity.  For part I, go to http://www.worldology.com/Europe/europe_history_lg.htm  Click on the timeline at the top of the map to move through time and use the key to navigate the information on the map.
  3. If you finish with the other activities early, please work on your homework assignments for unit 4 or on NetGenEd.
There will be a comprehension & completion check on the "Heritage of Europe" activity later in the week.
