Objectives: Examine ideas of indigenous and diffused religions and philosophies of East Asia. Discuss and analyze how geography has impacted cultural development in East Asia.
Task: Since many of you will be out on the Spanish field trip for the first portion of class, please take this time at the beginning of class to work on the Flat Connections project, your Silk Road homework, or your East Asia map. Once everyone is present, we will dive right into some notes on the philosophies and religions of East Asia. We'll also discuss the impact that geography and location has had on the development and diffusion of cultures in this region.
