Soc Day 8 - Theoretical Perspectives: Symbolic Interactionism

Objective:  Investigate the lives and ideas of the pioneers of sociology.  Examine the ways society impacts everyday behavior.

Task:  As you come into class, please think about your experiences playing cards yesterday.  We'll spend the first portion of class debriefing from yesterday's activities.  Then, we'll watch a brief clip from A Bug's Life to further illustrate conflict perspective.  We'll also wrap up our unit 1 notes with a lecture on symbolic interactionism.  For the last portion of class, you'll listen to and take notes on the "Pioneers" VoiceThread.  If you have questions, please post them on the appropriate pages.  Finally, after you've listened to all of the posts, type or record a reflection comment on the last page of the VoiceThread.
