Soc Day 5 - "What is Sociology?" Discussion

Objective:  Examine the ways in which society impacts everyday behaviors. Research the lives and major contributions of select sociologists.

Task:  Happy Friday!  As you arrive to class, please pick up the worksheet.  Use the reading to answer the questions.  After we review the the worksheet, we'll take some time to discuss "What is Sociology?"

Finally, we'll spend the second half of class in the library researching for the "Pioneers of Sociology" project.  If you finish your research early, please read "What is Sociology?"

Homework:

• TODAY - "What is Sociology?" reading due (be ready to discuss in class)
• Wednesday, April 9 - Pioneers of Sociology posts due on VoiceThread BEFORE class starts
• Wednesday, April 9 - Pioneers of Sociology works cited (minimum of three sources with at least 1 print source) due in NoodleTools by 3:00 
• Thursday, April 10 - "Net Generation" discussion (post discussion questions & reflections to Moodle forum by 7:00 pm Wednesday)
• Friday, April 11 - Unit 1 Test
• Friday, April 11 - Pioneers of Sociology reflection posts due on VoiceThread by 3:00 pm
