Soc Day 4 - Sociological Imagination

Objective:  Examine the ways in which society impacts everyday behaviors. Research the lives and major contributions of select sociologists.

Task:  Good afternoon!  To begin, we'll continue our notes on unit 1.  Then, you'll participate in a brief activity to begin developing your sociological imagination.  We'll also spend a few minutes reviewing the unit 1 vocabulary.

Finally, we'll spend the second half of class in the library researching for the "Pioneers of Sociology" project.  If you finish your research early, please read "What is Sociology?"

Homework:
  • TODAY - Parent information sheet (GoogleForm via Moodle) & email contact
  • TODAY - Unit 1 Vocabulary due
  • Friday, April 4 - "What is Sociology?" reading due (be ready to discuss in class)
  • Wednesday, April 9 - Pioneers of Sociology posts due on VoiceThread BEFORE class starts
  • Wednesday, April 9 - Pioneers of Sociology works cited (minimum of three sources with at least 1 print source) due in NoodleTools by 3:00 
  • Friday, April 11 - Pioneers of Sociology reflection posts due on VoiceThread by 3:00 pm
