HWC Day 21 - Nationalism & Apartheid

Objective:  Identify the role of nationalism in twentieth century Africa.  Explain the development, implementation, and collapse of the apartheid system in South Africa.

Task:  Please clear off your desk get out a blank piece of paper and a pen or pencil.  We'll spend the first few minutes of class reviewing the unit 1 test.   We'll spend the next portion of class clarifying the similarities and differences between Nkrumah, Nyerere, and Fanon.  Then, we'll examine the apartheid system in South Africa.  Finally, we'll end class with a review of the Zimbabwe section of the regional study.
