HWC Day 13 - Unit 1 Wrap-Up

Objectives:   Trace the development of man from the emergence of civilization to the 21st century.   Investigate development, globalization, and interdependence in the contemporary world.

Task:  As you come into class, please get out your materials on imperialism.  We'll spend the first portion of class comparing colonialism and imperialism and justifications and implications of imperialism.  Then, we'll finish our notes on periodization and the characteristics and elements of culture (see Moodle).  Finally, we'll discuss the current state of globalization by analyzing a satirical music video.
