CPWC Day 18 - Imperialism in Africa & Current Events

Objective:  Assess knowledge and understanding of the physical geography of Africa.  Identify key events and justifications for European imperialism.

Task:  As you come into class, please get out your chapter 18 reading notes in preparation for your reading quiz. You'll have 20 minutes to complete the quiz.  When you've finished, please turn in your paper on the computer cart and review the current events posts on the Moodle in preparation for our discussion.  Then, take the "Think You Know Africa?" quiz.

Next, I'll introduce Socratic dialogues and we'll practice engaging in a intelligent discussion on current events.
