Task: As you come into class, please get out a blank piece of paper. We'll start class with a video about the stereotypes and misperceptions of Africa, "What Do We Know About Africa?" As you watch the video, please take notes on your paper.
Next, we'll complete a DBQ activity to investigate the empires and kingdoms that dominated Africa prior to European incursion. Then, you'll use links on the Moodle to complete "Scramble for Africa." Finally, in the last portion of class, we'll tie together the video, your homework, the DBQ, and the scramble for Africa.
NOTE: We will be going outside for a portion of class tomorrow morning. Please come prepared with appropriate shoes and a jacket or sweatshirt.
