Objective: Identify and label countries, cities, bodies of water, and major geographic features of Sub-Saharan Africa. Identify and dispel misconceptions about Africa.
Task: When you come into class, please get out your homework and a pick up the introduction reading and a highlighter on the sideboard. While you wait for me to check homework, please begin reading the handout.
After I've checked homework, we'll continue labeling our "master" map of Africa. We'll also spend a little time reviewing the capitals of Africa.
Finally, you'll spend the remainder of class reading the handout and writing out a summary.

- Thursday, September 19 - Comment due to current events forum on Moodle by 3:00 pm
- Friday, September 20 - Chapter 18 reading quiz (reading notes may be used)
- Wednesday, September 25 - Africa map quiz
- Friday, September 27 - Unit 2 Test
