CPWC Day 19 - Imperialism & Nationalism in Africa

Objective:  Identify key events and justifications for imperialism in Africa.  Evaluate the agency of various people and groups in Africa during the Age of Imperialism (1850-1950).

Task:  When you come into class, please get out your homework.  I will come around to check completion of "Scramble for Africa" while you watch "Livingstone Crosses Africa." We'll spend the first portion of class reviewing your homework.  Next, we'll consider the continued impact of imperialism as portrayed in select excerpts from Uganda Rising.

Finally, you'll use the remainder of class to work on "Resistance, Nationalism, & Independence in Africa."
