WHAP Day 20 - Classical Religion & Monumental Architecture

Day 2 - PAW 2


KC2.1.I.  Codifications and further developments of existing religious traditions provided a bond among people.

  • CUL2 - Explain how religions, belief systems, philosophies, and ideologies affected political, economic, and social developments over time.
KC2.1.II.  New belief systems and cultural traditions emerged and spread, often asserting universal truths.
  • CUL5 -Explain how the arts are shaped by and reflect innovation, adaptation, and creativity of specific societies over time.
Objectives:  Examine and analyze select examples of monumental architecture from the Classical period.  

Task:  Good morning! We'll spend the first few minutes of class retaking the "pop quiz" from yesterday.  Then, we'll take a few minutes to review the flood comparison assignment.  Finally, we'll break out into groups and use SPICE to analyze monuments from the Classical period.

Homework Due Dates:
