CPWC Day 17 - Establishing Historical Context for Africa

Day 5 - Paw 5

Objective:   Explore the historiography of Africa.

Task:   Hujambo!  When you arrive to class, please upload your homework to the appropriate dropbox in Schoology.  Then, open up your Sub-Saharan map.  We'll begin class with two brief activities to review the geography of Africa.  Then, you'll read and respond to a set of documents on the history of Africa prior to European encroachment.  If there is any time remaining after our review, you'll write a thesis statement defining Africa prior to European arrival.
