CPWC Day 13 - Defining Fake News

Day 1 - Paw 1

Objective:   Define fake news.  Identify and describe the problems of fake news.

Task:   Good afternoon!  When you arrive to class, please clear your desks of everything except your i-Pad.  The focus of our class today is to examine fake news.  Specifically, you'll read "Fake News Fooling Millions!" and answer the accompanying questions in Schoology.  Finally, if there is any time remaining, please work on your homework for unit 2.

Homework Due Dates:  
  • TODAY - Bring headphones or earbuds to class!
  • Friday, September 15 - Labeled Western Africa map (in "Africa map packet") due in class
  • Monday, September 18 - Labeled Central Africa map (in "Africa map packet") due in class
  • Monday, September 18- Geography Chapter 18, section 1 reading notes due in class
  • Tuesday, September 19 - Labeled South & East Africa map (in "Africa map packet") due in class
  • Tuesday, September 19 - Geography, Chapter 18, section 2 reading notes due in class
  • Wednesday, September 20 - Period 5 PAW
  • Wednesday, September 20 - Geography, Chapter 18, section 3 reading notes due in class
  • Friday, September 22 - Geography chapter 18 reading quiz 
  • Tuesday, September 26 - Africa map quiz (study guide on Schoology) Use TapQuiz Maps to review the country locations & create Quizlet flashcards to review capitals and geographic information!
  • Thursday, September 28- Unit 2 Test (study guide posted to Schoology on or before Friday, September 22)
  • Friday, September 29 - Period 5 PAW
