HWC Day 5 - Collaboration & Creation

Objective:  Define history and the social sciences as they will be utilized in HWC.  Collaborate in a Web2.0 environment to create an informative presentation.

Task:  To start class, we'll discuss and review the process and purpose of critical thinking.  The remainder of the class will be utilized for the creation of your Primer podcast.  As you work, please keep the following points in mind:

1. Each group will create an audio-visual podcast explaining your assigned topic.
2. The purpose of the presentation is to help your classmates understand the main ideas of your assigned section.
3. The presentation must be at least 3 minutes and no more than 4 minutes in length.
4. Be sure that you double check the rubric for grading criteria.

Homework:

• TODAY - Class time for jigsaw collaboration - notes and scripts should be prepared BEFORE class begins
• Thursday, January 30 - Primer podcast due by 3:00 pm
• Friday, January 31 - Watch & take notes on "Becoming Human" interactive documentary BEFORE class begins
• Friday, January 31 - Foundations Investigation due by 3:00 pm
