Objective: Analyze the impact of stratification, social class, and gender on society.
Task: As you come into class, please get out a piece of scratch paper and complete the following statement: "I will be old when..." After a brief discussion, you'll take a quiz on aging. Then, we'll finish our unit 2 notes on occupational and age stratification. Next, we'll listen to and discuss your "Songs of Stratification." Finally, we'll end class reading "Sex Stereotypes Harmful to All Children."
