HWC10.11 Day 83 - Slavery & Revolution in Latin America

Objective:   Define Latin America as a cultural and geographic region.  Examine slavery and revolution in Latin America.

Task:  We'll start class with a game to review your Latin America map.  we'll divide into groups to investigate one of the following contemporary issues:
  1. Oil pollution in the Ecuadorian Amazon (see links and videos below)
  2. "Coffee-Go-Round" (on Moodle)
  3. "Geraldo's Brazil" (on Moodle)
For your topic, create a summary to share with your classmates.  Each summary must include an overview of the issue, a explanation of this issue as a regional and global topic.  You'll share this information with the class on Monday and Tuesday.  Finally, we'll end class with an article on global implications of the illicit drug trade.
