Task: We'll start class with a game to review our Latin America maps. After we finish our Latin America summary notes, we'll divide into groups to investigate one of the following contemporary issues:
- Oil pollution in the Ecuadorian Amazon (see links and videos below)
- "Coffee-Go-Round" (on Moodle)
- "Geraldo's Brazil" (on Moodle)
For your topic, create a summary to share with your classmates. Each summary must include an overview of the issue, a explanation of this issue as a regional and global topic. You'll share this information with the class on Monday and Tuesday. Finally, we'll end class with an article examining links between terror and the drug trade.
