Objectives: Assess knowledge and comprehension of chapter 1 reading. Define history and the social sciences as they will be utilized in HWC. Begin to chart the major historical eras.
Task: After recording our daily objectives, please get out your computer and any reading notes in preparation for the quiz. Listen carefully to Mrs. Friday's instructions before you begin the quiz! After you finish with the quiz, please begins studying for Monday's vocabulary check. When all students have completed the quiz, we'll finish the Primer presentations. Finally, we'll continue our unit 1 notes with an examination of the origins of civilization. We'll hear from noted anthropologist Don Johanson and discuss the evidence for and controversy about human evolution.
