CPWC Day 8 - Globalization & Development

Objective:  Investigate development, globalization, and interdependence from the mid-twentieth century to the present

Task:  While you're recording our daily objective, we'll collect your "Foundations Investigation."  Then, we'll spend a few minutes reviewing culture by examining a dollar bill and posting a reflection to a Moodle forum.   In preparation for the day's main activities, you'll take notes on some key vocabulary terms.   Then you'll meet with your assigned groups to begin the globalization, development, and interdependence stations.  As you work through these stations, be sure to keep the "BIG picture" in mind.  In other words, ask yourself,  "How does this information help us to better understand our world and ourselves?"

Homework:

  • Due TODAY by 3:00 (if not handed in during class) - Foundations Investigation
  • Tuesday, 9/11 - "Globalization, Development, and Interdependence" quiz
  • Wednesday, 9/12 - Unit 1 Test
REMINDER:  You should be studying on a regular basis!  If you have questions, be sure to ASK!  Mrs. Friday is available during period 12 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if you need help studying.
