Task: While you're recording our daily objective, I'll collect "Why Are Maps Important?" Then we'll spend a few minutes discussing "geography" before delving into our notes on the themes of geography. After we finish our notes, we'll spend time exploring each of the themes using the laptops and by listening to the classic Dr. Seuss story, The Lorax.
Homework:
- Due TODAY by 3:00 - "Why Are Maps Important?"
- Thursday, 9/6 - Reading quiz on Chapter 1 (pp. 2-13 only) of Geography - students will be allowed to use reading notes if they are brought to class
- Friday, 9/7 - "Foundations Investigation" due by 3:00 (if not handed in during class)
- Wednesday, 9/12 - Unit 1 Test
