Task: Good morning! Today, we're going to explore the life and contributions of one of the most influential individuals of the 20th century. Specifically, we'll consider the Mohandas Gandhi's as a nationalist and activist for peace.
For the second portion of class, you'll work with a partner to learn about recent events in Nepal. With your partner, use one or more of the news sources below to answer the following questions:
- What natural disaster occurred in Nepal this weekend?
- How is this event impacting Nepal?
- What is the international community doing in response to this disaster?
Write BOTH of your names and answers on a piece of paper. Be sure to hand in your responses before you leave class.
