CPWC Day 53 - Geography of South Asia

Objective:  Consider the unique geography of South Asia.  Utilize topical maps, graphs, and charts to draw conclusions about development and population patterns in South Asia. 

Task:  Today, we'll begin class with your South Asia map check.  After you've finished the map check, please turn it in at the back of the room and pick up the worksheet and reading on the Himalayas and your close reading from yesterday.  We'll spend some time discussing the geography of South Asia before moving into groups to begin our examination of the religions of South Asia.  Finally, we'll end class with a short video on the geography of South Asia.

Homework:
  • TODAY - South Asia Map due in class (homework completion quiz)
  • Thursday, April 23 - Chapter 24, section 3 reading notes due
  • Friday, April 24 - Chapter 26, section 1 reading notes due (for those on the field trip, these will be checked on Monday)
  • Friday, April 24 - Field trip to Museum of Jewish Heritage, NYC (see above for reminders)
  • Monday, April 27 - Chapter 26, section 2 reading notes due
  • Monday, April 27 - South Asia Investigation due (resources on Moodle and links on CPWC Day 52)
  • Wednesday, April 29 - Unit 6 reading quiz (24.1, 24.3, 26.1, 26.2 - notes may be used)
  • Thursday, May 7 -Unit 6 Test
