CPWC Day 36 - Europe Map, Defining the Renaissance, & MJH Pre-Visit

IMPORTANT FIELD TRIP INFORMATION:   For Friday's field trip to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, all students MUST bring a packed lunch and dress appropriately (no ripped jeans, etc.).  We will meet in the cafeteria for attendance at 7:15 and the busses will leave promptly at 7:30.  If you miss the field trip bus, you will be expected in your regular classes.

Objective:  Identify and label countries, cities, bodies of water, and major geographic features of Europe.  Investigate the political, social, and economic structure of Europe prior to and during the Renaissance.

Task:  As you come into class, please get out your map homework.  We'll spend the first portion of class labeling Eastern Europe and former Soviet Republics on our master map.  Then, we'll spend a few minutes finalizing our characterization of the Italian Renaissance.  Finally, you'll participate in the pre-visit activities for our trip to the museum tomorrow.

  • Friday, October 18 - Field trip to Museum of Jewish Heritage
  • Monday, October 21 - Reading quiz (Chapter 12, sections 1 & 3 and Chapter 14)
