CPWC Day 34 - Defining Europe

IMPORTANT FIELD TRIP INFORMATION:   For Friday's field trip to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, all students MUST bring a packed lunch and dress appropriately (no ripped jeans, etc.).  We will meet in the cafeteria for attendance at 7:15 and the busses will leave promptly at 7:30.  If you miss the field trip bus, you will be expected in your regular classes.

Objective:  Identify and label countries, cities, bodies of water, and major geographic features of Europe.  Investigate the political, social, and economic structure of Europe prior to the Renaissance.

Task:  As you come into class, please get out your map homework.  We'll spend the first portion of class labeling the countries of Mediterranean and Western Europe. For the remainder of class, you'll use the European History Interactive Map to investigate the conditions of Europe during the Greek and Roman periods and the Middle Ages.

Homework:
  • Tuesday, October 15 - Mediterranean & Western Europe maps due in class
  • Wednesday, October 16 - Northern Europe map due in class
  • Thursday, October 17 - Eastern Europe & Russia maps due in class
  • Friday, October 18 - Field trip to Museum of Jewish Heritage
  • Monday, October 21 - Reading quiz (Chapter 12, sections 1 & 3 and Chapter 14) 
  • Wednesday, October 23 - Europe map quiz
  • Wednesday, October 30 - Mid-Term Exam
