CPWC Day 35 - Italian Renaissance & the Birth of Modern Europe

IMPORTANT FIELD TRIP INFORMATION:   For Friday's field trip to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, all students MUST bring a packed lunch and dress appropriately (no ripped jeans, etc.).  We will meet in the cafeteria for attendance at 7:15 and the busses will leave promptly at 7:30.  If you miss the field trip bus, you will be expected in your regular classes.

Objective:  Identify and label countries, cities, bodies of water, and major geographic features of Europe.  Investigate the political, social, and economic structure of Europe prior to and during the Renaissance.

Task:  As you come into class, please get out your map homework.  We'll spend the first portion of class labeling Northern Europe on our master map.  Then, we'll spend a few minutes discussing the heritage of pre-modern Europe before you answer questions based upon this activity.  Finally, we'll watch a video clip about the Italian Renaissance prior to analyzing the changing shape of society as reflected through art work.
