Task: Please clear your desk of everything except a pen or pencil in preparation for the quiz. After you finish the map quiz, please turn it in on the back table and pick up the reading on the Ottoman Empire, the map list, and the map of Israel. Please read about the Ottoman Empire until our next activity.
After everyone has finished the quiz, we'll label the Israel map and take notes on nationalism and independence in the Middle East. Finally, we'll finish class with a reading about the issue of veiling in Islam.
