Soc Day 5 - Thinkers, Patterns, & Theories in Sociology

Objective:  Investigate the lives and ideas of the pioneers of sociology.  Examine the ways society impacts everyday behavior.

Task:  As you come into class, please pick up your computer and log on.  Use your headphones/earbuds to listen to the "Pioneers of Sociology" Voicethread (embedded below).  After you've listened to all the posts, consider what these pioneers contributed to the discipline of sociology both as individuals and as a group.  Post your reflection as a text comment to the last page of the VoiceThread.

After lunch, we'll continue our notes on the history, theories, and development of sociology.  Finally, I'll introduce and you'll choose partners for the next project, "Classrooms as Symbolic Statements."
