HWC10.11 Day 46 - Mid-Term Exam

Note:  Wiki editing should be completed by Friday, April 5.  Please make sure that all portions of your wiki page are complete.


Objective:  Assess knowledge and understanding of units 1 through 4.

Task:    As you come into class, please pick up the East Asia materials on the side table.  I'll go over the due dates for each of these assignments and then we'll get ready for the midterm exam.  We'll spend the remainder of class working on the mid-term exam.  If you finish early, please work quietly on the East Asia assignments or study for another class.


Homework:
  • ON-GOING - Research and contribution to the NetGenEd Diigo group AND the NetGenEd wiki (see rubric)
  • Friday, 4/5 - NetGenEd wiki deadline
  • Friday, 4/5 - East Asia map due
  • Monday, 4/8 - NetGenEd Video Storyboard Due
  • Tuesday, 4/9 - China Timeline due in class (see Moodle for instructions)
  • Tuesday, 4/9 - Unit 4 annotated research sources (3 news stories,  2 primary sources, 1 scholarly journal & 1 secondary source) - Please create a new project in NoodleTools entitled "Europe R&R" and share it with the HWC10.11 Research & Reflection dropbox.
  • Wednesday, 4/10 - NetGenEd Outsource Request (be sure to hyperlink your name to your due by 3:00 pm
  • Thursday, 4/11 - Boxer Rebellion fishbowl discussion (come prepared for discussion and observation)
  • Friday, 4/12 - Japan Timeline due in class (see Moodle for instructions)
  • Friday, 4/12 - Historical question (based on units 1-4) posted to HWC1.2 blog by 3:00 pm
  • Monday, 4/15 - Meiji Restoration fishbowl discussion (come prepared for discussion and observation)
  • Tuesday, 4/16 - "Transnationalism" reading quiz (use reading guide to prepare)
  • Wednesday, 4/17 - "Top Ten Things to Know About Korea" reading due in class
  • Wednesday, 4/17 - NetGenEd Outsource clip due on FCP Ning BEFORE class and linked on NetGenEd wiki by 3:00 pm
  • Thursday, 4/18 - Constructive responses to at least 3 historical questions (posted as comments to historical questions) - THERE SHOULD BE A MAXIMUM OF 3 COMMENTS TO EACH QUESTION!
  • Friday, 4/19 - Unit 5 Test
  • Thursday, 5/2 - NetGenEd Video due on FCP Ning BEFORE class begins
