Soc Day 15

Objective:  Analyze the impact of stratification and social class on society.

Task:  We'll begin class with a reading of and discussion on "The Sneetches" by Dr. Seuss.  Then, we'll begin our notes on social stratification and social class.  Finally, we'll consider Marx's assertion that "the history of the world hitherto is the history of class struggles."

Discussion circle reminders:  To start class, we'll review requirements for article discussion circles.  Specifically, if you would like to work as a group, you may create a collaborative summary and discussion questions using GoogleDocs.   However, if you choose this option, you MUST share this document with Mrs. Friday.
