Task: We'll begin class with a "quiz"on poverty. Then, we'll take notes on social class and poverty in the United States. Then, we'll spend the next portion of class discussing "The Uses of Poverty." Finally, you'll participate in an activity to see how you would survive on a minimum wage salary.
Discussion circle reminders: To start class, we'll review requirements for article discussion circles. Specifically, if you would like to work as a group, you may create a collaborative summary and discussion questions using GoogleDocs. However, if you choose this option, you MUST share this document with Mrs. Friday.
