HWC1.2 Day 43 - Contemporary Europe & Developing Historical Questions

Objective:  Investigate the political and social revolutions that emerged in Europe after the mid-eighteenth century.  Examine contemporary social, political, and economic issues in Europe.

Task:  As you come into class, please get out your computer and your reading notes on chapter 8.  We'll spend the first 20 minutes of class taking the reading quiz.  If you finish before your classmates, please stow away your computer and work on your mid-term exam study guide while your waiting to move on.  After the quiz, we'll take notes on the Industrial Revolution and review the Europe regional study.  Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class discussing historical questions.

Homework:
  • Wednesday, 4/3 - G&D Chapter 8 reading quiz
  • Wednesday, 4/3 - FCP outsource request & outsource clip "claim" due (be sure to hyperlink your name to your FCP Ning page)
  • Thursday, 4/4 - Mid-Term Exam
  • Monday, 4/8 - Unit 4 annotated research sources (3 news stories,  2 primary sources, 1 scholarly journal & 1 secondary source) - Please create a new project in NoodleTools entitled "Europe R&R" and share it with the HWC1.2 Research & Reflection dropbox.
  • Friday, 4/12 - Historical question (based on units 1-4) posted to HWC1.2 blog by 3:00 pm
  • Monday, 4/15 - FCP outsource clip due on FCP Ning BEFORE class and linke on FCP13-1 wiki by 3:00
  • Wednesday, 4/17 - Constructive responses to at least 3 historical questions (posted as comments to historical questions) - THERE SHOULD BE A MAXIMUM OF 3 COMMENTS TO EACH QUESTION!
  • Wednesday, 4/24 - FCP final video due on FCP Ning (by 7:30 am)
