HWC Day 47 - Boxer Rebellion Discussion

Objective:  Examine the ideas and influence of indigenous and diffused religions in East Asia.  Analyze the significance of select events in Chinese history.  Discuss the significance of the Boxer Rebellion.

Task:  To begin class, we'll finish our notes on the religions and philosophies of East Asia.  Then, we'll form two concentric circles for our fishbowl discussion.  Those students in the inner circle will sustain a respectful, intellectual discussion for 15 minutes.  After a short debriefing session, you'll post a reflection to the class blog.  Finally, we'll end class with an examination of foot-binding in China.
