Objective: Examine the ideas and influence of indigenous and diffused religions in East Asia.
Task: Good morning! When you arrive to class, please get out your homework and pick up "Who is Confucius?" from the front cart. You'll spend the first portion of class working through the reading activity. After we discuss the significance of Confucius, I'll provide notes on the major religions and philosophies of East Asia. Finally, you'll complete a Venn diagram comparing Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism to demonstrate your understanding of the belief systems that have shaped East Asian cultures.
