Objective: Participate in a virtual field trip to the Tower of London. Compare and contrast the relationship of Japan and China to the West in the 19th and 20th centuries. Identify the causes and consequences of Japanese expansion in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Pd. 3-4 Task: When you arrive to class, please pick up and complete "Ainu-Japanese Relations." After we discuss the worksheet, we'll spend the next portion of class taking notes on Japan. Then, we'll explore the Meiji Restoration with an analysis of the Rescript on Education. Finally, we'll end class with a review of Japan and China.
