HWC Day 41 - Revolution

Objectives:  Investigate the political and social revolutions that emerged in Europe beginning in the mid-eighteenth century.

Task:  After you've recorded the daily objective, we'll spend a few minutes reviewing the "Who's Who?" worksheet.   Next, you'll work in groups of four to complete a video guide on the French Revolution.  Each person in the group will complete one of the following tasks while watching the video:

  1. Vocabulary
  2. Odd numbered questions
  3. Even numbered questions
  4. Timeline
When the video is over, you'll work with your group to complete the video guide and post to the "French Revolution Reflection" on the Moodle.

Next, you'll read an article about the Industrial Revolution and play a game (both linked on the Moodle) to see how well you would have faired as a cotton entrepreneur.

If there is any time remaining at the end of class, please work on the Flat Classroom Project or on your mid-term exam study guide.

Please use the "Mid-Term Study Group Forum" on the Moodle or e-mail me with any questions that arise while you study.
