CPWC Day 31 - Arab-Israeli Conflict & Kurds


Objectives:  Examine the course and international implications of the Arab-Israeli conflict.  Explore the struggles of the Kurds as a stateless people.

Task:  After you've recorded the daily objective we'll work collaboratively to read about and report on the Arab-Israeli conflict.  Then, we'll spend a little time looking at the status of the Kurds in Southwest Asia.  Finally, we'll end class with a series of documents to examine the contributions of Islamic civilization in areas of art, architectures, astronomy, math, medicine, and science.

Homework:
  • Friday, October 12 - "The Country that Isn't" worksheet & "Islamic Contributions to Civilization" worksheet
  • Monday, October 15 - "From Tunis to Tehran, the Great Veil Debate" article/questions due
  • Tuesday, October 16 - Unit 3 Test
  • Wednesday, October 17 - PSAT
  • Tuesday, October 30 - Mid-Term Exam
