HWC Day 80 - Revolutions in Haiti

Important:  We are rapidly approaching the end of the semester and the end of this course. Please check PowerSchool.  If you have any questions about your grade, please see me during period 12 as soon as possible.

Purpose:  Consider various paths to independence in Latin America.

Task: Good morning!   When you arrive to class, please get out your notes on maroons.  We'll spend the first few minutes reviewing the unique characteristics and significance of this community.  Then, we'll divert from our studies on Latin America to important people from our studies.  Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class watching "Egalite for All" and exploring the revolutions in Haiti.

  • TODAY - Unit 8 PDCs due on class blog
  • Thursday, January 12 - Contemporary Issues in Latin America summary due in class - be ready to DISCUSS!
  • Friday, January 13 - Cumulative map quiz (Africa, Europe, & Latin America)
  • Friday, January 13 - Unit 8 SJSs due on class blog
  • Wednesday, January 18 - 7:35-9:05 am - Final Exam
