HWC Day 77 - Indigenous Peoples in Latin America

Purpose:   Consider the unique cultures of pre-Columbian peoples in Central America.  Compare & contrast Aztec and Spanish accounts of Cortez.

Task: Good morning!  We'll begin class with a discussion on indigenous peoples of Central America - the Olmecs, Maya, & Aztecs.  Then, you'll work with a partner to compare and contrast two accounts of the conquest of Tenochtitlan. Finally, if time remains, we'll begin our examination of colonial Latin America.

Homework:
  • TODAY - Indigenous peoples discussion (unit 8) - summary due in Schoology by 7:30 am
