HWC Day 28 - Nationalism, Independence, & Conflict

Objectives:  Describe the significance of select historical developments in North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Central Asia.  Investigate select contemporary issues in North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Central Asia.

Task:  Good afternoon!  When you arrive to class, please get out a blank piece of paper and clear your desk.  We'll spend the first few minutes of class reviewing and discussing your unit 2 test and the "Roots of Muslim Rage" reading quiz.  Then, we'll finish our examination of the Ottoman Empire and take notes on select developments in the region.  Finally, you'll work in groups to create posters about the contemporary issues topics from Friday.

  • Thursday, March 19 -  Unit 3 Test (open notebook)
  • Thursday, March 19 - Unit 3 current events (Regional Study Follow-ups) due in NoodleTools "HWC Middle East & Central Asia Current Events" dropbox
