CPWC Day 39 - Industrial Revolution & Contemporary Europe

Objective:   Investigate the impact of the French Revolution.  Consider the social implications of the Industrial Revolution.  Define the goals and impact of the European Union.

Task:  Dobroho ranku!  When you arrive to class, please get out your reading notes and a pencil in preparation for the reading quiz.  After the reading quiz, you'll complete a worksheet on the European Union.  When everyone has completed the reading quiz, we'll wrap-up our studies on Europe with a review of the French Revolution, a brief consideration of the Industrial Revolution, and a review of the European Union worksheet.


Homework:
  • TODAY- Chapters 12 & 14 reading quiz (notes may be used)
  • Wednesday, April 1 - Mid-Term Exam
  • Wednesday, April 8 - Current Events Extra Credit due in NoodleTools by 3:00 pm (see below)
  • Friday, April 24 - Field Trip to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, NYC

Use one or more of the news sources below to find recent news articles relating to topics we've studied in quarter 1.  Create citations and annotations in NoodleTools.  The annotation MUST include a summary AND an explanation of how the article relates to our studies.  Share your work with the "CPWC Quarter 1 Extra Credit" dropbox.
Each citation/annotation is worth up to 5 points and you may complete up to 3 per unit (Foundations, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, Europe).
