CPWC Day 26 - Religion & History in Southwest Asia

Objective:  Describe the similarities and differences of the Abrahamic religions.  Describe the significance of select historical events in Southwest Asia and North Africa.

Task:   Good morning!  When you arrive to class, please get out your "Heirs of Abraham" Venn diagram.  After comparing the monotheistic faiths, we'll take a closer look at the differences between Sunni & Shia Islam.  Next, we'll take a few minutes to review the your map with a review game.

Finally, we'll spend the last portion of class creating a timeline of significant events in the history of Southwest Asia and North Africa.

  • Thursday, March 19 - Field Trip Permission slips due to Mrs. Friday by 3:00

  • Friday, April 24 - Field trip to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, NYC
